What we do:
We save your game progress (in your browser only).
We use analytics to understand how you use the game (only with your permission).
Ads are managed by Mediavine (you can opt-out anytime).
What we do NOT do:
We do NOT sell your personal data.
We do NOT require logins or accounts.
We do NOT track you across other websites.
We do NOT knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or 16 in the EU).
We do NOT use hidden tracking or spyware.
When you give feedback or report a bug, you can optionally include your email address and some browser information (browser type, operating system). We use this information only to respond to you and to help reproduce technical issues—never for marketing or sharing with third parties.
We also occasionally publish surveys where you can provide feedback on the game. These are entirely optional, and you may choose to include your email address. If provided, we will only use it to ask follow-up questions or to notify you about game updates if you give us explicit permission to do so.
When you visit play2048.co, we automatically collect certain technical information to ensure the game works correctly:
Browser & Device Info. Browser type, operating system, and device model to optimize the game layout.
Local Storage & Cookies. We use Local Storage to save your game progress, highscores, language preference, and game settings locally on your device. This allows you to continue playing where you left off. We may also use Local Storage to keep track of whether you are a new or returning user.
Access Logs & IP Address. We may log your IP address and access times for security purposes, to prevent abuse. We may use your IP Address to estimate what country your visit is from.
Note on Privacy. We do not combine this technical data with your name, email, or address. While IP addresses can be considered personal data under some laws, we use them solely for technical operations and ad delivery, not to build a personal profile of you without your consent.

After these periods, all data is automatically deleted or anonymized.

If you’re a parent and believe we collected data from your child:

We’ll delete the data right away.
The game is appropriate for all ages, but parents should supervise younger children’s internet use.
If a data breach affects you, we will:
